Q. What is Hoopla, and why should I use it?
A. Hoopla is a "revolutionary digital service made possible by your local library." (That's us!) Hoopla offers easy, simultaneous-use access to streaming and downloadable movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, and graphic novels. Patrons will create an account at hoopladigital.com, enter their library card number, and have immediate access to up to 6 titles a month.
Hoopla users have a choice of streaming content via the Hoopla app (iOS or Android), or downloading it temporarily to a portable device. This means patrons can use Hoopla to download movies, music, etc. onto a phone or tablet in the library, then watch it later without wifi.
Hoopla content is all simultaneous use, which means any number of people can use it at the same time--there's no need to place a hold or wait, ever.
Q. What's this challenge all about?
A. We hope this challenge will help staff become familiar with Hoopla. It's an exciting service, and all staff can help promote it to patrons.
Q. Why another project?? I'm so busy!
A. The Hoopla challenges are all short and fast, meant to be completed in less than ten minutes. Most can be done during a slow moment on the desk.
Q. Okay, I’m in! What do I do?A. Every Friday in September, there will be a new post with a challenge question. Post a comment with your name and your answer. Easy, right? Watch for the first challenge to appear on Friday, September 2.
The last challenge will show up on Friday, September 30, and you will have until Friday October 7 to answer all the questions and qualify for a prize!

A. Since Hoopla is all about movies and music and reading and stuff, participants will win AMAZING prizes that are those things. TWIST--you'll be unlikely to find any of these items ANYWHERE else! You won't want to miss out.
